|
DeLead/Healthy Homes Outreach Specialist –
Full Time
|
|
The Outreach
Specialist will be responsible for recruitment of applicants into the DeLead and Healthy Homes Programs. The Specialist will conduct trainings,
in-home visits, and outreach initiatives on lead poisoning prevention. The Specialist will also be
responsible for delivering buckets of cleaning supplies to residents, in
order to maintain the property’s safety and cleanliness.
Minimum
Qualifications include
High School degree and two years of experience in human services, public
health or related field, Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish/English), excellent
oral and communication skills, willingness to work flexible hours when
necessary, Driver’s License and own Transportation.
The ideal candidate has an Associates Degree in Public Health or related field,
knowledge of lead related issues, pests, mold, etc. Knowledge of state and
community resources, an outgoing and proactive personality.

DeLead Intake Assistant – Full Time
|
|
This position reports to the
De-lead Delaware Site Manager and is responsible for providing administrative
services to the program team.
This position is also responsible for direct customer service to the
clients and to the program partners.
In addition to the standard secretarial duties, incumbents relieve
manager of routine administrative and business details by performing a
variety of duties including but not limited to: coordinating details for
conferences, meetings, travel and similar activities; composing
correspondence; maintaining schedule of appointments, screening visitors and
telephone calls; establishing and maintaining various filing and record-keeping
systems for the department including follow-up files; researching information
for manager to respond to complaints, compile reports or complete documents;
ordering and maintaining office supplies, equipment and inventory. Additionally, the Intake Assistant
will process applications, assist with program reporting, and assist in
arranging temporary relocation of occupants of properties accepted into the
program.
Minimum Qualifications include 1) Associates degree in secretarial
science or related field 2) 2-3 years practical experience 4) Strong computer
skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
and MS Internet Explorer 3) Fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing
& speaking) 4) Excellent customer services skills in English and Spanish.

Grant Writer & Development Coordinator
– Full Time
|
|
This position involves
responsibilities in two categories: (1) Grant Writing and (2) Development
Coordination. The incumbent will
research, develop, write, prepare and submit grant applications for the
agency. Upon award of grants, the
Grant Writer will ensure that all program objectives, reporting requirements,
special funder requests are met in a timely fashion. The role of Development Coordinator
will concentrate on special events coordination, including speech writings,
and funder cultivation and tracking.
Minimum Qualifications include 1) Bachelor’s degree in
Communications, English or a related field. 2) 2-3 years
experience in grant writing or fund raising, nonprofit preferred; 3) Excellent
written communication skills; 4) strong planning and
organizational skills.

Bilingual Licensed Psychotherapists –
Full Time & Part Time
|
|
The person in this position will
provide bilingual (Spanish/English) psychotherapy in our mental health
program. Therapy modalities will primarily be individual, couples, and family
therapy. Population served
includes all ages, from children through adults.
Minimum qualifications include 1) Master’s Degree or Doctorate in
Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field. 2) Mental Health or related Licensure. 3) Perfectly Bilingual/Bicultural
in English and Spanish. 4) Experience in clinical practice of psychology or
counseling.
The ideal Candidate has
the ability to conduct counseling sessions in both English and Spanish, ability
to conduct individual, couples, and family therapy, experience with crisis
management and intervention, ability to work cooperatively with others
including co-workers, clients, representatives from other agencies and
community in a non-judgmental manner, willingness to maintain client
confidentiality, willingness to maintain high professional and ethical
standards, have good oral and written communication skills, good computer
skills and good organizational skills.

Administrative Assistant – Mental Health
– Part Time
|
|
This position will be
responsible for all administrative coordination for the mental health
department. This includes data entry and data base management, outcomes
reporting, contractual management and invoicing, Medicaid billing, as well as
monitoring medical files for compliance with best practice standards. This
individual will assist with creating and maintaining required CARF policies
and procedures. This person will
be our point of contact with the insurance companies and clients with regard to
financial matters. This person may be asked to also verify insurance
coverage, maintain medical records, or assist with related administrative
tasks.
Minimum qualifications include 1) possessing training and one year of experience in medical billing; 2) Strong
computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook; 3) Ability
to work cooperatively with others including co-workers, clients,
representatives from other agencies and community in a non-judgmental manner,
4) Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality; 5) Strong
problem solving, organizational, and planning skills

meets minimum qualifications and (1) has a bachelor’s degree in related
field (2) is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Prevention Specialist – Prevention
Promoters – Full Time
|
|
Prevention Promoters is a train-the-trainer and peer
education program for substance abuse prevention. The program intends to
equip community members to be the Prevention agents in their neighborhoods.
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating, and expanding the Prevention
Promoters initiative through recruiting, educational sessions and events
within the Latino community in the New Castle County area.
Minimum qualifications include possessing (1) a valid driver’s license and
own transportation (2) bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or
Associates degree plus four years of experience (3) perfectly bilingual in Spanish and
English
The ideal candidate
is (1) has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services (2) is perfectly
bilingual in Spanish and English, (3) has curriculum development experience
(4) has event planning experience (5) has the ability to build trust,
empathize and create positive relationships (6) is knowledgeable and
sensitive to community issues, social justice and advocacy work.

HIV/AIDS Outreach Specialist – Part Time
|
|
To educate the Latino Community
on the dangers and prevention methods of sexually transmitted diseases
through street outreach with the objective of recruiting individuals for HIV Counseling and Testing. To provide HIV/AIDS intervention and
prevention activities for Latino Adults at least 16 years of age whose
primary cultural affiliation is Hispanic or persons who identify themselves
as a Hispanic.
Minimum Qualifications include High School degree and two years of
experience in human services or related field, Bilingual/Bicultural
(Spanish/English), excellent oral and communication skills, willingness to
work flexible hours when necessary, Driver’s License and own
Transportation.
The ideal candidate has
an Associates Degree in Human Services, knowledge
of HIV/AIDS Issues, knowledge of state and community resources, an outgoing and proactive personality.

ESL/EL Civics Teacher – Part Time
|
|
The English as a
Second Language (ESL) /English Language (EL) Civics Instructor is responsible
for teaching English and civic education to a diverse adult population. In
addition, the instructor assists in recruitment and retention of ESL/EL
students and the on-going development and evaluation of the ESL/EL
curriculum.
Minimum
Qualifications include
Bachelor’s
degree plus 1 year experience teaching ESL to an adult population, computer
literate and ability to generate detailed reports, ability to work on a team, have a
"whatever-it-takes" work ethic, and have an excellent customer
service attitude.
The ideal candidate has (1) Bachelor's degree in education or related field,
TESOL certification plus 1 - 2 years experience
teaching ESL to an adult population, (2) computer literate with experience in
MS Word, Excel, Access and the Internet, (3) Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills (written and verbal).

Early Development Teacher Assistant – Full Time
|
|
The incumbent is
responsible for providing a safe, warm, and nurturing environment in which
children can develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually.
Minimum
Qualifications include
High School Diploma or its equivalent, Training for Early Care and Education
(TECE) 1 and one year experience working with children in a group setting.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with children and
parents. Ability to relate to children in a positive, caring manner.
The ideal candidate has an
Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, is
bilingual (English-Spanish), and has at least one year of experience working
with children in a group setting.

After School Satellite Teachers – Part-time
|
|
The incumbent is
responsible for providing after school tutoring, homework help and enrichment
activities to students registered at the LACC 21st CCLC sites in correlation
with school district curricula and DSTP standards for Delaware. Also may provide support in academic
enrichment activities in reading, writing and mathematics and other areas.
Minimum
Qualifications
include Associates Degree in Elementary Education or High School Diploma with
60 Clock Hours of training in child development or early childhood education
with 1 yr. experience working with children in a group setting. Experience in
youth work/youth programs. Spanish /English fluency preferred. Effective
written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, planning and
communication skills. Successful criminal background checks as required by
Delaware law.
The ideal candidate has
(1) a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or registered at a college or
University in the Education field at the junior or senior level. (2) at least
one year of experience working with children in a group setting (3) is
perfectly bilingual, (4) has strong interpersonal,
planning and communication skills. (5) Willingness to work flexible hours.
